Alan and Jess join us for a swift early morning balloon flight from Wigglesworth to Malham. After a couple of days of foggy mornings it was nice to get back into clear skies again. Our flight took us from Wigglesworth, over the moors to Malham via Long Preston. We had to stay low to avoid stronger winds at height, although at one point we reached 30 mph when at our highest point just after take off. Winds in the valleys are generally gentle and this proved to be the case as we arrived in Malhamdale and slowed to just 5 mph for our landing just opposite our launch site in Malham show field. The video is time lapse, so appears to be a lot faster than it is!
